• September 1994 I start collecting escher pictures off of the net, mostly from gopher sites. The web site is started, and the Escher page is begun.
• September 1995 The Escher page is redone so it revolves around a database of pictures.
• April 1996 Parts of the underlying programs for the page is rewritten, more pictures are added, and the page is redesigned with a new look.
• late September 1996 All the underlying programs are redone from scratch. Icons are redone. Ascii art added in as part of the main database. More pictures added. Quotes from Escher added. Picture of the week added. Dimentions field is added to the database. Ratings are added.
• early October 1996 More quotes from Escher are added, for individual pictures.
• mid October 1996 More pictures added. Added photographs group.
• 11 November 1996 Cordon Art sends me a notice of the copyright status of Escher's work. It sounds as if they intend to shut my web site down.
• 14 November 1996 Reprieve! Cordon Art grants permission for the Escher site to continue. I add a copyright notice to all pages that have a picture by Escher on them.
• 27 November 1996 More descriptions for pictures added. Bibliography added.
• 2 January 1997 Due to mail from Cordon Art, Escher page changed to only display 25 pictures, rotated weekly.
• 3 January 1997 More changes to to adapt to just 25 pictures at a time: rate pictures higher if they are present, took unsorted pictures offline. Added requested pictures list.
• 5 January 1997 Can search the db for available pictures now.
• 8 January 1997 At demand of Cordon Art, removed all icons from website. Sorry!
• 12 January 1997 Tired of Cordon Art, I shut down the site. This is now a private website.
• 25 Jan 1997 Removed all cordon art modifications.
